CELEBRATING 4th ANNUAL WALK FOR HUNGER
Join Sai Dham Food Bank 4th annual Walk for Hunger on Saturday, September 8th, at Markham Sai Baba Temple.
The Walk to End Hunger is a family-friendly 42K fun walk organized by Sai Dham Food Bank.
This event represents an outpouring of support in helping elderly seniors and frail adults struggling with hunger across nine cities within GTA.
This year’s Walk for Hunger is on Saturday, September 8th and the start flag for the walk will be honoured by our honourable MPP Deepak Anand.
Once again, we are hoping that many of you will participate to make this event a memorable experience and supporting a great cause.
All funds raised from this event will help feed nearly 1 in 8 seniors and frail adults facing hunger.

There are many ways to participate in the Walk for Hunger! All participants are strongly encouraged to fundraise or buy a T-Shirt to help us make the biggest impact, no matter the participation type:

WALKER/VOLUNTEER INFORMATION WALKERS
Walk for Hunger is a rain or shine event.
Registration is now open. Please come prepared (sunglasses, sunscreen, raincoat, umbrella, comfortable shoes, etc.) You will need to purchase your T- Shirt ($25.00).
The Walk for Hunger follows a historic 42K route. The Walk will start at S.S.M Culture Center and finish at Sai Dham Canada. Walk as much as you can from 1K to 42K.
The entire group will gather in front of the S.S.M. Culture Center at 7:50 am for group photos and prayers before the walkers head out.
Water will be provided at each Checkpoints along the route.
- Pizza coupons will be given to all walkers.
- Snacks will be served at Jane and Finch Checkpoint (courtesy of Vijay&Varsha family).
- Dinner will be served at the Sai Dham Canada.
VOLUNTEER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
There are many ways to volunteer for this event and they will be assigned by the Sai Dham Food Bank Committee.
We need volunteers at Checkpoints along the route to help us ensure we have a smooth, safe and fun event!
If you have a specific need, because of physical abilities, or a time constraint please let us know, we will try our best to accommodate you.
