WHAT WE DO
What We Do?
The Habit of Giving
We strive to provide more than just food and a smile. We work on many exciting initiatives to improve the lives of others, and are very proud of the work we do.
Sai Dham Food Bank receives no government funding and heavily relies on volunteers for everything. Every month, these volunteers collect, sort, prepare and deliver food to families who are struggling with hunger across the 9 cities within GTA.
These families receive more than a month supply of food which often include the main essentials found in the food guide. Our goal is to provide adequate food from the four categories.

OUR IMPACT IN 2017
Over 150 residents across GTA rely on our food bank each month, approx. 70% of whom are seniors and individuals who are disabled.
40% of members use the food bank each month, while 60% use it between 1 and 5 times a year.
This year we distributed more than million pounds of food to our network agencies such as food banks, schools, churches and shelters.
We work with Peel District Schools to help and support over 300 children in 4 different schools with daily nutritious breakfasts.
